Soror Waikinya Clanton Southern Region Social Action Coordinator
Past National Social Action Commissioner Chapter: Madison County (MS) AlumnaeIt is with great enthusiasm and without reservation that I endorse Dr. Kia M. Jones for a position on the Nominating Committee of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
As the Southern Regional Social Action Coordinator, I have had the distinct privilege of working alongside Dr. Jones in her capacity as Mississippi Social Action Co-Coordinator. In this role, she has proven herself to be an indispensable member of our regional team. Since the beginning of my tenure, Kia has proven to be loyal in her commitment, thorough in her execution, and deeply devoted to the principles of social action that define our Sorority's mission.
Dr. Jones has demonstrated exceptional organizational leadership as the architect of Mississippi's Delta Days at the Capitol, where she brought together sorors across the state to advocate boldly on the issues that matter most to our communities. She has also served as the primary manager and facilitator of our Solid in Our Sisterhood, Secure in Our Fight webinar series, guiding our regional programming with professionalism, intentionality, and grace.
The Nominating Committee requires members who understand the weight of representation, the importance of process integrity, and the value of principled leadership. Dr. Kia M. Jones embodies all of these qualities. She will bring the same rigor and dedication she has given to our region to this critical national responsibility.
I give my fullest endorsement and highest recommendation.
